Technor Atex was established in 1983, and is a Norwegian company that supplies the offshore and petrochemical markets with a complete range of electrical products for instalation in hazardous areas (Ex).
 
 
In 1997 (march), Technor bought the largest part of Télémécanique Ex range of products and established a subsidiary in France. Technor has been introduced on the Norwegian trade market in 1997 (July). Technor Atex, the French part of the group, is located in the suburbs of Angoulême (France).
 
 
The whole production is conform to CENELEC standards EN 50014, 16,18, 19, 20 for:

• Increased safety products and equipments
• Flameproof products and equipments
• Intrinsically safe detectors
• Pressurised systems
